Just use a flex tape it can fix the problem
Lesson #1 in Plumbing: Know where are the main and secondary water valves before doing anything.
Lesson #2: Instead of forcing yourself in fixing it while it's leaking/ gushing, shut it off or lessen the pressure (in some cases) first to mitigate the damage.

I'm no plumber at all, but when I mess with my sink with anything I shut off the water. It's the same logic of turning off the power before messing around with the outlets. I could've done a way better job.
